The photographic project Perímetro Sur (Spanish for South Perimeter)explores the visuality of the landscape as a testimony of the social and economic improvement experienced in Peru between 2000 and 2015. Perímetro Sur documents the bordering areas to the south of Lima Metropolitan.

The work highlights an apparent growth, specifically in the industrial sector, contrasted with the area’s rural roots. At both poles, improvisation is proposed as a methodology for development. The images show an imperative human need to delimit the vast land of the desert, in which, between the dunes and the fog, the limits and borders of property are blurred.
