Obesa

"Obesa" (obese in English) is a little game I made with photography and self portrait. In Italy being obese is like being at the same time invisibile and monstrous. There are no body positive movements and the obese person is often left alone and mocked. So I decided to create a series self portraits with pastel colours and an attention to the composition of the image. My fatness is the subject of these images but it's hidden by the overall feeling of softness and playfulness the image, It's a trap for those who see them and a little revenge by me, I can finally tell my own narrative on my own body. I thank photography to be able to tell myself.
