After 20 years of living and working in Brooklyn NY, I decided my nervous system needed a break. So in the summer of 2019, I yanked up the roots and moved to Kingston NY in the Central Hudson Valley. I had been an upstate weekend warrior for a number of years and was already familiar with many of the adjacent communities, both pastoral and metropolitan. I instantly fell in love with the pace, the places, and the people. At once I set off with my cameras to document these new surroundings. The overarching goal is to build a long-term body of work that gives voice to the people and places of the Hudson Valley.
