Rhi-Annon

The project 'Rhi-Annon' was developed as a result of a creative block, it became apparent to Rhiannon that she could not fully absorb my creative practice into a body of work full of ideas and a personal approach if she could not fully understand myself and who she is and perhaps was.

Shooting on a Mamiya RB67, the series includes a combination of landscape and portraiture imagery that displays relevant locations i.e. her hometown of Taunton, Somerset and the people which embody it and whom effected and helped shape the person she is today such as my tennis coach, Mr Barrington.

Taunton is a location that Rhiannon has only truly grown a relationship with since moving to a different city, and anticipates her escapism to the 'nothingness' and peace.

The work explores not only the identity of a place but specifically looking at it in relation to one individual, herself as the photographer.
