A reflection on perceptual mutation in the age of technology, where the artificial and organic merge. Through constructed imagery, the work explores humanity’s pursuit of perfection and the fragile dissolution between nature, simulation, and belief.

When the artificial and the human merge into the same performance, the boundary between reality and illusion begins to dissolve. Perception becomes unnaturally shaped—no longer a simple reaction to the world, but a designed extension of consciousness itself.

This project reflects on the occurrence of perceptual mutation in an age where technology permeates every aspect of life, becoming nearly indistinguishable from the natural. The photographic practice begins with materials marked by artificial intervention, often drawn from organic origins. By “constructing the non-material,” the work generates a visual language of perception—creating contemporary relics that resemble both living organisms and the manifested residue of inner thought. Each image moves between intention and accident, the organic and the synthetic, mirroring the ways in which nature and the artificial now coexist, influence, and replicate one another.

The series also observes humanity’s obsession with perfection and permanence—from monuments to cosmetic surfaces, from artificial flavors to engineered sensations. Behind these gestures lies an anxiety toward decline and uncertainty. The gifts of technology appear as progress, yet quietly rewrite the body’s perceptual system. An irreversible shift is underway, where the boundaries between primal experience, simulation, and belief dissolve into one another.

Within these absent relics, what remains—and what has been set in motion?

The work offers no resolution, only a reflective space to contemplate our ethical and emotional condition: when creation and dissolution intertwine, how might we face the fragility of living, and of being human?
