PARALLELS & HIBERNATION & FUTURE

Dreaming and imagination has always been an escape from the real life and pain, it has been a constant presence to run away from traumas.

The PARALLELS represent that world, the perfect world of dreams, the best possible options and goals for the future. It also represents the comparison of the real and the potential, the dream and the blurred lines in between these two worlds.

I’ve been focusing on creating warped and somewhat abstract images of flower still lives. Everything you see has been shot in camera without any further manipulation.

My aim is to create imagery that makes you stop and explore, dissect and analyse. It reflects on what is real and how we perceive the world in front of us and how we see ourselves. It allows you to think of parallel lives or other possibilities, warped thoughts that could be changed, self esteem, self appreciation, mental health, the whole pool of emotions and thoughts that are so private and so intimate most of the times. Sometimes even unrecognised.

HIBERNATION, a period of waiting, waiting for rebirth.

A personal journey of rebirth and the rebirth of the mankind as whole.

At times it looks motionless and numb, a very frail beauty.

It is a blissful time of ignorance before stepping into darkness or into a new space to reconnect.

My floral still life work is reflecting on the inner world of emotions and experiences. It represents a window into a delicate and fragile beauty within, the inner process of healing, changing, accepting and ageing. A look out on a variant of expressing and opposing traumas. It is a personal journey of healing and transformation.

This is an ongoing project where the main project name may change over time and contain sub-projects. It is an open book to me.
