Pakṣī

Pakṣī meaning Bird is a word borrowed from Sanskrit, now used in many Indian languages.

Coming of age has an ongoing stage in many of our lives. Indian family and societal values take precedence and rule our lives long after one becomes a legal adult. Many continue to live with their families until they marry. Some choose a newer path. The desire and manifestation of independence in whichever journey we choose is found in the small moments of escape and self discovery becomes the journey.

This is the story of learning to fly.
