Hábitat

Photographing is a solitary and contemplative ritual, an intimate ceremony of the close relationship I have with the mountains. I surrender to them and land on their skirts, as if I was their own daughter. I walk with fatigue, but also with silence and gratitude. Here I find everything in the middle of nowhere, this is my habitat.

The technique:

This serie has been made with the alternative process called "Brown Van Dyke". My intention in making the production of "Habitat" this way is to remember one of the different analogical processes used in the nineteenth century, a relationship between the visual expression and technique, a "pre-digital" moment that still allows us to put hands on the material where the photographic work has, at a technical level, an extended temporality.
