Vision of the world from above flying over the Desierto de los Monegros (Spain) according to an abstract key. Imaginary animals, plants, characters, made from the contrast of rugged mountains with cultivated fields, just after harvesting.

Fantascape

Although starting from the idea to perform an aerial landscape reportage flying over the Desierto de los Monegros (Spain), I rather found in my cameras a large collection of abstract pictures, instinctively taken during one hour private flight. An unforgettable experience, full of emotions and the awareness of my attitude for the abstractionism.

Imaginary animals (elk, tiger, squid, scorpion, shark etc.), characters (mad hatter, hello spank, lovers etc.), plants, made from the contrast of rugged mountains with cultivated fields, came out from my pictures. A good way to experience how the perception of reality changes from different viewpoints. So that the difference between imagination and reality becomes thinner. The more you can imagine it, the more it become real.

Fantascape project has been exposed at several photo fairs (MIA and PhotoFestival in Milan) achieved awards from the participation at international photo contests (PX3 Paris, IPA and some more). Gente di Fotografia (italian photographic magazine) published an interesting review about that project.
