This project is an interpretation of a space between depression and mania, where apathy and eagerness inhabit the same emotional plane. I look for this dissonance in the textures of the American Southwest, where I live, and in the expressions of loved ones and strangers. I am still trying to figure out if this work pursues a salve for mental unrest or means for confronting it. Either way it feels productive.
