“Rocas” is part of my series The Cimarron and the fandango that speak to us in an allegorical way about the Afro-descendant people in México: its journey through colonial history, its integration into the territory and its current sense of identity within it and it is especially this image that speaks of how time ended up giving new forms into the identity of these communities.
