i went to a mental home in Barcelona on an artist exchange two years ago. I only had a few hours there and to be honest i was so haunted by the serenity, having been told by one of the doctors they were all so highly sedated. i moved around quietly, was touched by their tenderness, how they wanted to engage, give me a flower they had picked, look into my eyes, this is a project i would like to continue . id like to capture them in their art therapy, when with animals, understand more of their stories..the ghosts that haunted them.
