Entrepreneur Bootcamp is a weekend-long event that brings in students from all backgrounds in order to learn the basics of entrepreneurship. Over the course of the weekend, each student group focused on a new or existing business idea and applied analytical techniques to visually examine the business potential from multiple dimensions.

My group created the app "Scan, Pay and Get Away" which connects leisure outdoor enthusiasts who want to try new outdoor activities but do not have access or the need/want to purchase products specifically for that activity. Our app includes geofencing technology, instructional videos on how to use our equipment and safety guides for adventures.

The app allows you to rent outdoor equipment by scanning a QR code, paying, and starting an adventure. We provide various locker locations at your favorite trailheads in the San Marcos / Austin area that includes the best-rated products while creating easy access for leisure enthusiasts.

Our service/vision decreases unnecessary spending, frees up space for recent college grads, and parents who don't want to purchase equipment themselves.

This service is also for individuals wanting to pick up a new hobby for the first time but does not want to commit to purchasing expensive equipment.

Our app was designed to connect with other active friends around the area, earn points by unlocking and trying out new products and sharing your workout and outdoor experience with your close friends!

To address social challenges globally, we need to collaborate and learn from local ideas that are being developed across the globe.

We tackled the issue of pollution in the San Marcos river and came up with a system to improve signage around trash cans as well as to attach bins to current picnic tables to make disposing of tiny trash more convenient for park goers. We also integrated education with our system and have specific facts about the wildlife around the river integrated into our prototypes.
