The initiative, now in its sixth edition, is designed to support the production and promotion of visual stories through cash prizes and relevant opportunities across international festivals and online media. The total cash prizes have been increased to £15,000, while the features of the winners on World Press Photo’s Witness and the projection of all the awarded projects at Just Another Photo Festival (India) have been confirmed for the second year in a row. The prizes also include an additional projection at leading photography festival Cortona On The Move (Italy), which will further offer a solo show to a project selected by its Artistic Director, Arianna Rinaldo, to be exhibited during the festival’s 2018 edition. The New Generation Prize, awarded to a photographer under 30 years of age, will also include a mentorship program with acclaimed educator Maggie Steber. All the winners, honorable mentions and several selected submissions will also be promoted on PHmuseum's channels along the year.
