Photo magazine Perimetro and non-profit organization Liveinslums are raising funds to support the intensive care unit of the Italian city currently most affected by COVID-19. Update: The last day to purchase a print is 5 April.

In recent days, many people are mobilizing to support the Italian health system severely tested by the Coronavirus emergency. Even today, the world of photography is making itself available as the promoter of an initiative in favor of the intensive care and intensive care unit of the Papa Giovanni XXII Hospital in Bergamo, now the city most affected by the epidemic. This initiative was born after the direct testimony of one of the Bergamo hospital resuscitators who told the organizers of this fundraiser a dramatic situation and for which all possible help is seriously needed.

100 PHOTOGRAPHERS FOR BERGAMO is a call addressed to 100 authors of the world of fashion, art, architecture and portrait photography; it is an invitation to donate their image, which can be purchased here at a cost of 100 euros. The operation, coordinated by Perimetro Magazine and the non-profit organization Liveinslums, involved some of the most important names in contemporary Italian photography, who kindly intervened and immediately accepted the appeal of the doctors of Bergamo, engaged in the front line to deal with the COVID-19 emergency. Among these photographers appear the names of Davide Monteleone, Alex Majoli, Oliviero Toscani, Michelangelo Di Battista, Toni Thorimbert, Giampaolo Sgura, Maurizio Galimberti

The proceeds will be entirely donated to their hospital to strengthen the intensive care unit through the purchase of specialist technical equipment.
