Asfodeli di cartapesta is a photographic project that combines art and science. The title of the project has a poetic value, evoking asphodels, a plant that has always been used in literature to indicate the realm of the underworld. The second term of the title is in clear contradiction: papier-mâché; an artistic technique used for the creation of lively and colourful works. This indicates the treatment of a dark and disquieting subject, through new ways, more contemporary and dominated by colours.
