Place where time suffers

Marcelo Costa

2015 - 2016

Brazil

The photo essay "Place where time suffers" is a dialogue between silent pictures and melancholic landscapes, which are assembled and reassembled in symbiosis

with the density of the treatment, which is given by the physical material (coffee powder and ashes) impregnated to the photographs.

Images of accumulations and accumulations of images. Accumulations of memories, of the passage of time, belief and mystery. Accumulations of pain and accumulations of passion. It is the insistence and recurrence of these symptoms that the essay seeks to highlight a symptom of the world - what remains of the time is the memory load.
