"Genuino Clandestino" is a network of communities and peasant movements that has spread throughout the Italian territory, promoting concrete and practical alternatives to the model of capitalist agribusiness, through the valorisation of local food consumption – kilometre zero – and food self-determination.

Genuino Clandestino is a movement where urban and rural needs meets each other, as producer and consumers of food who believe in the biological model, respecting the seasonal nature and the diversity of each territory. In contrast with intensive agriculture they promote an other model of agriculture, promoting food production, defending the territory, biodiversity and food sovereignty as an element of autonomy and self-determination.

Born in 2010 in Bologna, now Genuino Clandestino is a huge movement across Italy to support and spread production practices that safeguard the welfare of the land, nature, biodiversity and of all living beings, counteracting the use of toxic agrochemicals and the introduction of GMOs.

It's a movement that fights against the dominant culture which considers peasant agriculture wasteful because the only production model that is recognized as economically viable is intensive, mechanized, chemical based, and promote a new paradigm for agriculture, because the land is to produce food and feed the living, and not to generate profit and contaminate our territory.

Genuino Clandestino represents a powerful weapon to fight against climate change and preserve our land, our earth, our future.
