Ek Aurat Ka Safar, the literal meaning of, A Woman’s Journey. These portraits represent women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and social positions in contemporary Pakistan. It portrays the journey of a girl into a woman. While interviewing and photographing these women I discovered the complexity of life for women in Pakistan. While performing domestic roles these women are also underplaying positions of economical power in Pakistan. I want to champion these women and many Pakistani women around the world for their sacrifices and for overcoming gender role challenges.
