We Miss You

Through scale and repetition, Jencso surveys a year of lost time. The installation features large-scale photographs and an overarching installation of snapshot-sized photographs—a comprehensive archive of communal and personal loss

and longing.

At a distance, long rows and columns of photographs suggest a blur of landscape, a diary of monotony and confinement as days stretched into weeks and months on the Chesapeake Bay and in DC. Yet, the installation rewards close viewing as individual images betray the unending sense of disruption and

transformation—and ultimately, endurance, and even beauty.
