Red Herring takes as its subject the disappearance of a girl in a small country town in Central Victoria, Australia, in 2009. Through a blending and questioning of fact, fiction and representation, the work challenges and tests the construction and interpretation of narrative. The work forms part of my ongoing interest in contextualising the contemporary social and physical Australian landscape.
