Coasting

At the beginning of last Summer I moved out of my house, put my stuff into storage and spent the Summer tracing the English coastline- documenting the places and people I encountered.

I’ve lived in England all my life but I became aware of how little I knew of the place of the place I’d always called home so I set out to rectify it.

I wanted to look for the universal in the personal and find familiarity in unfamiliar places and unfamiliar people. It was important to me to evoke the similarities between us whilst also celebrating the depth and diversity of British culture.
