The visual language uses in the series Mt. Meru springs from fetish fantasies, Hindu religious allegories and classic Thai imagery. With these referrals he comments on the sacred status of the monarchy in his homeland. The artist grew up with the norm that, in order to be a good citizen of his country, the ideal role model was represented by that of the highest position on the wall: that of the king.
