For years, in the focus of the world press, Qatar proves itself as a Gallic village to its neighbours.

Allegations of a 'bought' decision of the Football World Cup 2022 or the support of

terrorist groups leave the unimpressed. Also the imposed sanctions of the Gulf Cooperation Council only seem to let the country shine in new strength.

Within a few weeks, it will be independent of imports, mainly from Saudi Arabia.

In a world where money does not matter, stables , for 20,000 flew in Cows, can be built quickly.

The richest country in the world, measured by GDP (about $ 130,000), is investing intelligently and looking ahead, with the Agenda 2030 it wants to free itself from the dependence of gas and Oil revenues. Billions are being invested in health care and education and in traditional European clubs like Paris Saint German. Does all this serves pure pleasure or persecutes the emirate a strict plan to establish itself as a 'global player'?

In his photographic documentary "Qatar - Improving Reality" photographer Felix Kleymann travels the world 11.000km2 small country and shows the splits between tradition and present, between 2 million Guest workers and 300,000 locals.
