Estuary English is claimed to be an English accent associated with the area along the River Thames and its Estuary. Estuary English may be compared with Cockney. There is some debate among linguists as to where Cockney speech ends and Estuary English begins.

Ongoing project documenting life along the Thames Estuary, from the edges of the London to the beginning of the East Coast. With an increasingly diverse community , the different parts of the Estuary have seen dramatic transformations in their social and visual landscape. From the closing down of the majority of the once prosperous industrial factories, to failed social housing projects, the area faces the repercussions of a multitude of issues.
