My photographic research is landscape based, but i work as a collector, so my series are not planned
My name is Giammario Corsi, i was born in 1989 in Bari, Italy.
In March 2017 i got a Master Degree in Photography at ISIA Urbino.
In 2015 i started a collaboration with Osservatorio Fotografico, based in Ravenna, Italy, an association that leads a research project that aims to create an archive of the city through the interpretation of various photographers.
In 2016 i had the chance to start an internship at Guido Guidi’s studio in Ronta, Italy that lasted more than a year.
As a student i had the chance to take part in workshops held by some contemporary photographers such as Alec Soth, Bryan Schutmaat, Gerry Johansson, Joachim Brohm, Martin Kollar and Gus Powell.
One of my series, Oh Be A Fine Girl, Kiss Me became a booklet published in 2017 by Osservatorio Fotografico.
In 2019 my works were selected for two group exhibitions, first one was Looking On, that took place MAR in Ravenna, where i showed the series Love Song and the other was an exhibition held at Linea di Confine in Rubiera were i presented Sotto lo stesso cielo.
My photographic research is landscape based, but i work as a collector, so my series are not planned, but edited on the pictures that i found in my archive. I also take inspiration from poetry, literature and movies.
