when i took the train to my past.

I started taking these pictures on my many train journeys from Copenhagen to Gothenburg in Sweden last year.

Both my parents had fallen ill and I went to visit as often as I could.

They weren’t pleasant nor joyous visits as my relationship to my parents is very complicated to say the least so I always felt heavy hearted on these train rides..like I was forced towards a past I thought I had left behind, that was now catching up with me demanding some kind of closure.

I took pictures of what I saw looking out and through the windows of these trains and felt that these images were reflecting my mood.

It felt good that I was able to capture what I was feeling and put it into, not words but images.

all pictures are taken with iPhone X through window glass.
