KESINONU - Sacred Shadows

KESINONU, meaning heritage, is a photographic exploration of what is inherited visible or invisible, chosen or imposed. The project examines the layers of memory, tradition, and identity that shape who we become, both as individuals and as communities.

The work focuses on a sacred site in Togo, a place layered with historical, cultural, and spiritual significance. Through photography, it explores the intersections of memory, tradition, and collective identity embedded in the site. The exhibition aims to reveal often invisible narratives, inviting viewers to engage with the heritage and history of the place. The approach balances careful observation with ethical reflection, highlighting how personal and communal memories continue to shape contemporary experience.
