“Then, very suddenly, thought, and shuddering terror, and earnest endeavour to comprehend my true state.” – Edgar Allan Poe

Here, you fear to unclose your eyes out of fear there will be nothing to see. Then, very suddenly, beyond the lids, a flash. Then, a second flash. With eyes unclosed, now, sight, and by way of flashing light, now, sight of THE PIT. You know (from literature) to avoid THE PIT.

You also know to avoid THE CUP. If you avoid THE CUP, then you know (from literature) you will avoid a certain destroying crescent. You know you mustn’t relapse into insensibility, no matter the desire. You know you must idle away this new span time. You know you will exhaust the lay game, the stare game, and the pace around the space game, and so might you try one of the following: the game of throwing, throwing game, game of stacking, stacking game, game of illusion, illusion game, balance game (balance game a lot like stacking game but more precarious,) game of measuring the floor, game of thinking of more games, game of floating, float game, game of avoiding the cup, avoid the cup game, seek game, shriek game, bounce game (an extension of throwing game), bang game, mirror game, memory game (NOT FUN), game of linking, link game, game of thinking about how to leave, how to leave game, game of making friends with the rats, friendly rat game, and last but not least, what happened before here game, game of what happened before here.
