The Diversity of Black Men

This series looks to highlight the diversity that exists among black men. Our society too often refers to “the black man” as if he were a single individual. There is no such thing as “the black man”; there are Black Men. While they share some characteristics for sure, the men I photographed are also very different in so many ways: height, complexion, style, sexual orientation, religion, education, occupation, background, etc. Those men are individual beings, products of their respective environments, as complex as any other human beings of any race. This series only scratches the surface - there’s more to come - but I hope it gives a glimpse into the Diversity of Black Men.
