Amber also offers a 12-hour mentorship, click here to apply.

In the portfolio review session, Amber can do a general overview of one project or touch on several projects. Together you can fine tune the narrative thread throughout your work by discussing your goals for the work, editing an artist statement, looking at a maximum of 30 photos which represent either one portfolio or edits from several projects. In this session, a beginner can seek feedback to move the project forward. An established photographer can come with more specific questions.

Amber also offers a 12-hour mentorship, click here to apply.

In a consultancy session, Amber can offer advice on the next steps and help build a strategy (toolkit) for your production, whether that is a personal project, commercial portfolio, documentary or fine art series. Topics that can be addressed are publishing goals (examples: installation, interactive online platforms, editorial, book form); artist statements; portfolio editing and sequencing; grants lists targeted to your project; client list targeted to your work; or marketing and promotion tips from how to pitch your project in a short email to being persistent but polite in your follow up.

During a mentorship, together you dive into all elements that are described under the portfolio review sessions and consultancy session, with either a finished body of work or a work in progress. According to the production plan Amber can edit work as you make it in stages while recognizing areas of development, how to stretch the narrative and how to think outside the box when it comes to audience engagement and sponsorship, finding funding sources and knowing how to approach them.
