I took pictures of real objects intermixed with elaborate models of their counterparts.

As models are so exquisite, they are difficult to distinguish by sight alone, and one can tell the “difference” only through smell and touch.

I took pictures of objects after burning them.

Objects can be easily recognized by their shape and color. Once the object is burnt, and the color erased, they are no longer easy to recognize.

=> I printed two copies of the photographs and cut one horizontally and another one vertically into stripes. I then wove the vertical and horizontal stripes together into new images.

The same images were recombined, but in fact a whole new images was recreated. This was because I wanted to express the values and meanings inherent in the objects without destroying them.

As we are accustomed to judging with images stored in our memories, if we are already familiar with an object, we do not pay attention to the object in the picture for long.

For this reason, to concentrate more on the object, I took pictures of intermixing real objects and models, and after burning objects. And then I dismantled and recombined the printed images to hold the viewer’s attention a little longer.
