Queer feminist artist, I mostly do portraits - portraits of my community: queers, women, crazy people. I would like to highlight different people who are poorly represented in the media. I would like to value them, show their strength, their beauty.
I don't think of the photo only as a figurative work, but also as an abstract image, with its own challenges: colors, shades, lights and composition. The shape allows me to better convey the mood and emotion of the moment: tenderness and determination, union and separation, freezing cold and radiance solar. This transmission of the beauty that art allows us to do.
From grainy black and white to colors - bright or pale, contrasting or nuanced - I try to paint my works with precision, hoping to touch my viewers with my gaze and that of my models.
