Cristina Baussan is a photographer and writer who believes in the power of storytelling to transform inner lives. Drawing from her French, Haitian, Salvadoran and American roots, her work explores themes of identity and beauty and the relationships we forge with our closest environments. Her greatest commitment is to document stories of belonging, for she believes that when we belong to ourselves, we belong to the world.

Cristina holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University in New York. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Al Jazeera, Public Radio International and UNICEF.
