I viewed the fact that the Republican Convention was going to be in my town, Cleveland, OH as a once in a lifetime experience. I did not have credentials and the city was really buttoned down. You could not get close to the actual happening. But, you could spend time on Public Square, the longstanding home of free speech here. I would bike over every day. There were spectators, ten "protesters" for every spectator, ten media for every "protester" and ten cops for every media.
