"Using death as a metaphor for the perceptual losses that the contemporary world imposes on us and photography as a dialogue language, the project "Impermanent Masks" proposes an immersive aesthetic experience that begins with the capture of images, when the volunteers lie in a small swimming pool with water, and dry ice, when their senses are put to the test in a situation that metaphorically sets up a perceptual "boot" (Tact compromised by water temperature, hearing buffered by water, vision interrupted by eye closure, taste, and smell supplanted by the unique need to breathe), and by the proposal of expository action, when space is reconfigured and a new immersion is proposed to the spectators. The purpose is to generate reflection on how we relate to the world and how we less and less perceive it".

These images represent the first contact of women with the hostile environment, when the eyes are opened and the colors are made.
