We Will Not Be Next

Sadly, gender-based violence is out of control and rampant in South Africa. The latest statistics show that a woman is murdered every 3 hours and a person is raped at least every 15 minutes with most cases going unreported.

This disgusting state of affairs makes the country one of the most dangerous places for women to live in.

Recently, the rape and murder of a number of women in South Africa has ignited outrage and triggered protests to pressure the government into acting against the scourge of gender-based violence.

This campaign aims to create awareness of this horrific situation in South Africa by photographing a series of diverse women campaigning for gender-based violence reform.
