These photographs depict homes that someone has left. These spaces are a framework for a story about femininity, domesticity and ghosts. The homes in these pictures bear traces of the ways people built their lives. These are places of drift, filled with dreams of the many durable persona of the woman. Standing alone in the spaces, one form of beauty fades, and another grows from its traces. This female reality, a lifelong process, reveals itself in a single moment with the camera.
