Richard Pak is a French visual artist born in 1972. His work is photography based but he also employs video and writing. Using indifferently a documentary style or a more serial and systematic approach, his work deals mainly with the representation of intimacy in both the private and public spheres as well as focusing on misfits and people on the fringe of mainstream society.
He has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at: Le Château d’Eau (France), Le Pavillon Populaire (France), Le Centre Atlantique de la Photographie (France), Gallery Stieglitz19 (Belgium), PhotoPhnomPenh (Cambodia), Noorderlicht Photofestival (Netherlands), Festival Images Singulières (France).
He has published two monographs: Pursuit (journal and Filigranes) in 2012 and Les Frères-Pareils (Filigranes) in 2015.
His works are part of public and private collections, such as Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Le Château d’Eau, Le Centre Atlantique de la Photographie, etc.
