Turning Against the Self

Self-Aggression – is a mechanism of psychological protection, when aggression can not be directed at someone or something outside, so the subject directs it to oneself. This can be called conscious and subconscious self-destruction.

The heroines of our series – successful young women living in the metropolis, who suffer from autoaggression. They cause themselves physical injuries or often find themselves in situations that sometimes result in serious injury. Psychologists explain the phenomenon of autoaggression in the big city - the lack of emotional intimacy and depression. It's like a way to switch mental pain to physical pain.
