Lihuel Gonzalez was born in 1986 Argentina. She graduated from film school at the Universidad del Cine (FUC) and studied with artists Gabriel Valansi, Hernán Marina, and Alberto Goldenstein too. Later, she participated in artistic residencies such as the Conti-FNA 2013, ABC Scholarship 2013, and 2014 Artist Program of the Universidad Di Tella. In the same year, she received a grant from the Argentine art fund Fondo Nacional de las Artes. In 2015, she participated in the Buenos Aires Bienal de Arte Joven, and joined its international residency program.
She has participated in a lot of exhibitions and has received many awards, including the Soluma Festiva Dallas Museum of Art exposición (2018), Bienal Sur exposición en Bogotá Colombia (2017), Bienal de Bahía Blanca (2017) Fundación Klemm 2016 award, Pira ADM Mexico DF 2016 scholarship, Itaú cultural prize, among others.
Currently, she directs her own studio and teaches at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA).
