About Eefje

Bio

I am an independent advisor-connector, educator and editor, curator in the field of photography and visual storytelling. I have extensive experience in designing and managing projects in this field. The large network I built around the globe allows me to make valuable connections.

For World Press Photo, I lead the Education team, designed and coordinated educational projects, exhibitions and publications all over the globe between 2008 and 2015. Amongst the different projects I coordinated the well-known Joop Swart Masterclass, which has brought forward many of nowadays big names in the industry of photojournalism and documentary photography. I was invited as a guest speaker on several festivals and events and did portfolio reviews at for example Ojo de Pez Photomeeting, Edie Adams Workshop and LUMIX Festival for Young Photojournalism.

Currently I am open to new professional opportunities which support the production, distribution and discussion of visual stories, in any possible way. Opportunities which push the boundaries of visual storytelling and bring together different art forms. I am interested in creating learning experiences for individuals and image-makers aiming to tell stories and contribute to communicating the diversity of the world.
